  • Suprises

Some surprises are nice, some just freak you out completely.

A week or two ago Weston offhandedly said he had a surprise for me and being th curious person I am I tried to guess what it was. It was all to no avail and I was still clueless hours later.

So he decided to get me back for my ardent curiosity.

I walk into his room and he gets down on one knee. All I am thinking is, "What the hell?!"
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a CARD.

Thank goodness it was a card; in fact it was a little card he made asking me to come to Hawaii with him this summer.
Not to say there won't be a wedding involved, but thankfully it is his friends' wedding and not ours.

I had nothing to say when he did that, it was the bad kind of speechless where you don't know what to say since you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

He was right, the idea of marriage is a great way to mess with me...I'm just too young for that shit.

I've never been to Hawaii so I'm quite looking forward to that in July. So if you have any recommendations for things to eat, do, or see on Maui feel free to let me know!

  • maui!!!!! lucky :)

hana highway, with all the scenic stops along the way (you'll need a car but it's worth it; it takes you through a super tropical part of the island and the sights are so pretty... plus you can see all kinds of waterfalls)

kayak and snorkel with the green turtles :) (there are tons of tours that do this)

haleakala (the volcano) - i'd put this lower on the list than the other two, mostly cuz it's not like you're going to see lava or anything, but it's still worth a look.

    sit on the beach.

  • Hopefully we'll have a lot of time to try some of those things, I know we have some days set aside for wedding stuff already, but luckily we were planning on renting cars for the whole trip so we can def drive the highway. There was even talk of renting mopeds for the highway loop too.

  • But you see, love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage. You can't have one without the other.  It's an institute you can't disparage.  Ask your local gentry, and they'll say it's elementary.
